Our Spring 2023 virtual fundraiser was celebrating our 9th Annual Peacebuilder Award recipients: The Hope Center & Karen Tredwell, and all of the amazing work they do in our communities!

The fall 2023 fundraiser focused on water. Plowshare took a “deep dive” into issues surrounding water resources in Waukesha. We examine challenges and solutions related to this precious resource in our fall fundraising documentary, “Our Water, Our Responsibility.”

We also recognized our 2023 Sally Jo Michalko Volunteer of the Year, Mark Blackman for his many years working with Plowshare.

The spring 2022 virtual Fundraiser and 8th Annual Peacebuilder Awards ceremony recognized the 2022 Recipients: Catholic Charities & Mark Doremus

As part of the virtual program, we shared a video created for our fundraiser, about the healing of the Waukesha community in the wake of the Waukesha Downtown Christmas Parade tragedy.

The Fall 2022 Fall Fundraiser “A World of Good - The Sustainable Impact of Fair Trade” was a virtual program that opened your eyes & hearts to the Global Impact of Fair Trade and how this model is sustainable for the artisans, fair trade organizations, business communities, consumers and ultimately the planet!

Our 2021 spring fundraiser, Healing & Hope - Moving beyond the losses of 2020, a video program during which we recognize our group 2020 Peacebuilder Award recipient, Healing Hearts of Waukesha County, and the grieving/support work that they provide for families in Waukesha county. This was very timely, as we had all lost something in 2020. Then the Key Note Speaker, Pastor Angela Khabeb, a nationally recognized speaker with her connection to George Floyd, and previously a pastor in Waukesha, leads us through our grief from 2020, and inspires us with Healing and Hope for our future!

Every year our fashion show models represent a certain ideal... in the past we have featured women community leaders, diversity in age, size and ethnicity. This year we thought it would be fitting to feature essential workers as our models! Essential workers come in so many forms, from postal workers, grocery store workers and police officers, to teachers and doctors, and so many more. Essential Workers are Heroes. There is no doubt that they helped us make it through 2020/21, and continue to help and support our communities to this day!

Join us for a virtual retrospective of Plowshare’s work in Waukesha, :Three Decades & Counting.”

Through pictures and storytelling, we celebrate our presence in Waukesha. We honor Judith Williams, a founding member and 2020 Individual Peacebuilder Award recipient, and Sari Labotsky, our Volunteer of the Year. We also recognize all of our volunteers & supporters who have helped make Plowshare possible!
