Meet our Staff

Sara Allison
Director of Operations

I have been with Plowshare since 2011 and I feel truly blessed to find value in my work. I am an artist my self, so to be able to support these traditional global arts in such a unique way is inspiring!! I graduated from Carroll College in 2004 with a Fine Arts degree and am glad to be a part of the creative community in Historic Downtown Waukesha.

I am a mother of 2 little ones, so now I can also truly appreciate what Fair Trade does for families all across the globe. In my free time (which is not much at the moment), I love spending time with my family & Friends, I love the outdoors, painting, music and working in my garden. I was born in Colorado, but have spent most of my life here in Waukesha.

Shop Manager

I was Born and raised in Illinois, and came to Wisconsin in the early 1980s. After moving to Milwaukee, I started working for Pick and Save, and quickly moved to Roundy’s corporate office to the installation and training area. I traveled extensively within five states helping Roundys customers set up their computer equipment and train their employees in both cashiering and receiving duties.

After almost 20 years of doing that, I moved back to the retail environment, and eventually took some time off to help raise my 3 grandsons. During that time I also got a degree in Graphic Design & a certificate in photography from WCTC. I also own my own business, The Silly Nana. You can find me at most Maxwell street days in Mukwonago.

After being hired at Plowshare I continually tell customers and everyone else I can get to listen, that working at Plowshare is the best job I’ve ever had. I feel like I’m doing good for the world and taking part in social justice.

If I’m not working, gardening or crocheting, I spend my free time watching my grandsons play baseball, basketball, and soccer.
